Has anyone had trouble cloning windows 10 1607 cbb VMs?

I'm working on creating a windows 10 parent image. I'm using the 1607 cbb build. I don't have a problem creating the VM, but when I go to clone it, the new VM shows that the customization has started, but it never completes. Looking around online, there seems to be an issue with the modern apps that are preinstalled. I know the powershell commands to remove the apps, but that doesn't work. Has anyone else had this problem?

We're on view 7.1 and we're on esxi 6.

Regarding Windows 10 Build 1607, I am unaware of it not working in general. I have it running in multiple pools and it is supported by VMware for Horizon View 7.0.3 and above. Usually customization issues are tied to the active directory service account having rights to join computers. Even then, you want to ensure the pool is pointing to an OU in AD that the service account has rights to.
