HTML drops connection

I'm having student's report that when they are actively using VDI HTML their connection just drops, then they have to log back on and they pick up where they left off. Has anyone else seen/experienced this? The agent never drops just the Chrome HTML drops. I'm trying to have the students switch and test Firefox and Edge.

Hi @txfree2

Is the full client working just fine? I would be looking at the logs on the session they are attached to.

DriveLetter:\ProgramData\VMware\VDM\logs

This may give you some insight.

On the load balancer is the session set to be persistence?

Connecting to VMware View through a load balancer fails (2083610)

Hope this helps

Dear Reporter,

Could you help to check the "Connection Server Session Timeout" setting on Horizon Connection Server admin page?
We suggest it set to <20d to see whether we could bypass this issue.

We had the same experience with HTML dropping connection. The disconnects stopped after we deployed Horizon agent 8.5 and VMware Tools 12.0.
