HKLM with UEM

UEMdev

hi,

Does UEM save HKLM tree if the user was a local admin on the VDI desktop ?

i have a case where i have to save a tree under HKLM with specific reg value for each user.

can this be done using a normal GPO ?

thanks in advance.

Hi ahmad090,

It's not officially supported, but if the users are admins, you can reference HKLM in your Flex config files.

BTW, would you mind asking UEM questions in the VMware User Environment Manager forum instead of this "generic" Horizon forum? That way you'll reach a larger UEM audience (and you won't have to @ me 🙂

This is something we'd do in the Template/Gold image, or with a standard GPO.  If absolutely necessary I guess we could accomplish this with a startup script or shortcut in the startup folder that runs a script to modify the registry (if the user logging in has rights).
