I'm italian and we having some problems on our platform in those last weeks.
I try to describe our issues, sorry me in advance for my poor english:
We have 4 farms with about 60 RDS Hosts,we are using Agent version 7.
Every user have a Google Chrome app entitlement.
This platfom is on since march 2020 and everything is working fine with normal problems.
We have about 100 users that use a usb smartcard to sign documents, and they always have worked without any problems until one month ago.
They've having a strange issue: when they open Google Chrome (to browse internet,mail,etc) it suddenly starts freezing, until clicking anywhere it will appear the windows message "that application is hang ,do you want to close it?"
Obv closing it, Horizon Client close and the user has to open it again an restart everything.
I've tryed on those user's computers to complete remove Horizon client and reinstall (After deleting the users saved directories by DEM) and
everything seems to working fine for about two days,then they again are experiencing the Chrome hanging problem.
I've tried to uninstall usb smartcard and never put it again into their computers, but they still got that problem.
I've tried to give to those users another Google Chrome app entitlement from another farm; in that case they worked with no problems for about two days,then they have experienced the same Chrome problem.
On Horizon farms we've made all windows update and google chrome update.
On a user's computer, that had this problem, I've tried to loggin in on the horizon client using our "test" credentiail, and i've had the same Chrome problem.
I've tried to try to log on my office PC with user credentials, and i've not had the Chrome problem.
This "hanging Chrome problem" seems referred only to that computers/users that use that smartcard (about 100 on 1000 and more users) .
Sorry a lot for my really bad english,i'd like found someone helping me to focus where to search for the solution to this error.

Please provide more information:
- Which Horizon Client are you using? Windows, Linux, Mac Client or HTML Access Client?
- How about your Client version?
- "when they open Google Chrome (to browse internet,mail,etc) it suddenly starts freezing", do you mean that if smart card redirection is not used but you still see the Chrome browser hang issue on agent side?
- How do you use the smart card with remote app/desktop? From the description, you are using smart card on USB redirection, right? Recommend you to use smart card redirection feature directly to get the better performance.
- "I've tried to give to those users another Google Chrome app entitlement from another farm", looks like you are using Chrome browser as the remote app. Have you seen the issue when using remote desktop with Chrome browser?
