Forward USB PTP

Hello,

I need to forward a camera via PTP (picture transfer protocol). Which you also can select when you connect your mobile to a computer.

When I connect directly to a server with the horizon client and start our application I see the device.

When I start the application through the horzion client (on the same server) it's not working.

Client: 5.4.3

Client OS: Windows 10

Server: 7.12

Server OS: Windows Server 2019

Tested with PCoIP and VMware Blast

It's a bit difficult to follow. Would you elaborate a bit?

- "When I connect directly to a server with the horizon client and start our application I see the device."

Where did you see the device? Was it in the device manager on Agent OS?

- "When I start the application through the horzion client (on the same server) it's not working."

What's the app? How is the app supposed to use the device?

More questions:

1. what Horizon client are you using?

2. what camera are you using?

3. are you using a remote VDI desktop or a remote app on RDSH?

I did some more testing and it looks like it's not an issue regarding deskop vs application. Looks like an os issue, with server os (windows 2019) it's not working and with client os (windows 10) it looks ok.

I tried to explain it in the attached document.

On the server os the device is recognized as "manufacturer: standard mtp device" on the client os it's recognized as "manufacturer: samsung electronics"
