Forced Resolution on VDI VM

Currently using VDM 2.1.

When connecting to a VM through the VDM server, I can connect to the VM either in Full Screen or Window. Is there a way to open the VM with a custom display resolution like 1024x768 or 800x600 ,either in VDM 2.1 or View 3.x.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You have to set the resolution within the VMTools on the VM. That setting though is user specific in OS's such as XP. If you set it (can be set as a normal user) you need to copy profile over default user if you expect new logons to pick up the same resolution.

This is something you need to change on the Wyse side of things if you are using wyse terminals like the V10L

If you are using vmview and a wyse terminal, you edit the Wyse wnos.ini file.

for example if you want the desktop resolution to be 1024x768 you will need to add the following line to your wnos.ini file

Resolution=1024X768

Once that is done reboot the wyse terminal and the resolution will adjust automatically on the desktop.
