Hi,when I install vmware horizon client on windows 7 with sp1, it always failed.

I saw this log file:

vdmInstUtil: 08/31/20 14:25:43 --- VMWriteRegistryValues()

vdmInstUtil: 08/31/20 14:25:43 ERROR: Failed to create key: 0, (-2147483646)SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc.\VMware VDM\Client

vdmInstUtil: 08/31/20 14:25:43 End Logging

Which version of Horizon Client are you trying to install? If you are working with the last version (Horizon 2006) please take note that the Horizon Client is not compatible with Windows 7 as you can see here: System Requirements for Windows Client Systems

Horizon Client 5.4.3 for Windows 7.

Finally I found that the reason is privilege of windows account.

When I change to Administrator account the installation goes well.
