External URL is flagged as invalid

For my HTTPS Secure Tunnel and Blast Secure Gateway it is giving me the message "Invalid External URL" and "Invalid Blast external URL" in the View Administrator when I trying to enable the PCoIP Secure Gateway.

My URLs are as follows:

https://HORIZON1.ABC_DEFG.local:443

https://HORIZON1.ABC_DEFG.local:8443

What is the format of the PCoIP gateway you are trying to configure?

Without the PCoIP gateway enabled the Blast and HTTPS configs are ok?

I was trying 172.16.6.2:4172 but even if i leave it disabled it will not let me make any changes due to the Invalid URL on the secure tunnel and blast setup.

I have. My guess is that Horizon does not accept  .local as an acceptable URL address. I changed from the FQDN to an IP address and it accepted changes to the config

These URLs are used by the external clients on the Internet to connect.

.local is for internal DNS names and URLs and so wouldn't work.

Use a hostname in your externalURLs that will resolve on the Internet to an IP address that will route the client connection to your Security Servers.

If this is not for remote access but just for internal access, then these URLs are not needed.

There are use cases where you want to use the tunnel servers (Either via UAG or Connection Servers) for internal access. In this case you would still need to use a FQDN (not .local) and you could leverage split DNS to resolve the FQDN to a different internal IP.
