Greetings,
I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but I'll ask anyway just to be sure.
Is there a way to exclude a domain from the health check on the dashboard of the vmware view administrator page?
We have a trust with another "company" which controls their own AD and the firewall between our two companies. This trust is neccesary for some other software however it's pretty tightly screwed shut for other things.
In the dashboard I get an error notice from that domain which reads:
"The trust relationship could not be determined."
"Domain status error detected. View Administrator is unable to perform operations related to domain."
Is there a way to exclude this domain from the health check? If not possible, what rights does view administrator need to let this check turn green?
Kind regards,
Bram
For my environment having a domain filter to exclude the trusted domain also removed it from the dashboard system health. Assuming you don't need that domain as an option for anything View related, have a look at the vdmadmin command and configuring a domain filter, http://pubs.vmware.com/view-51/topic/com.vmware.view.administration.doc/GUID-582DCABE-A944-4808-9708....

Thanks! That’s exactly what I needed.
However I tried the steps in the url and the domains are still being enumerated. Does this require a reboot of all the connection servers?
Kind regards,
Bram

When using the RecursiveDomainEnum registry key and restarting all connection servers in the environment, the domain was still there, giving a red sign. However when using the vdmadmin command to just remove the problem-domain it instantly worked. There was no restart needed. Thanks for giving the correct solution.
