What does the View Agent actually do, and why does it not support Windows 7 64bit? I'm assuming the agent makes the vm guest system visible in vCenter? Any insight will be appreciated.
Thanks,

From what I was told about Windows 7 is that it will not be fully supported until the next big update. Which should be this year sometime.
There are several functions the View client includes.
Some of them are:
it's the part, the View Connection Server communicates with, to e.g. determine whether the VM is idle or a user is logged on... In addition to this it includes the drivers for PCoIP. Mike Laverick has some interesting posts on this (e.g. VMware View4 and PCoIP)
