Is that 8GB RAM? Our minimum requirement are 8 vCPU, 14GB RAM for the whole vApp am I afraid. I've heard mixed results using lower amount of RAM.

I see localhost.localdom in the screenshot. That indicates an issue with your DNS. Especially reverse lookup I would say. Verify all your appliances have correct forward and reverse lookup.

Thought of that too, but when the configurator starts, it specifically checks all names, IPs, FQDN and Reverse Lookup. And these tests are succesful. Feels like there is something going wrong in the process. But I must admit I have started this installation a few times already since in the beginning the reverse lookup wasn't correct.

I'll redeploy the whole OVA tonight, see if that changes things.

And again. After almost an hour of watching how all components got configured, it eventuelies dies on me with again an error. Not too happy about the whole installation procedure....

Are you deploying the vApp in on a virtual ESX? i.e. you are running nested virtualized vms? If so we've seen time out issues. It's simply taking to long. I just installed the whole vApp yesterday in my home lab and it didn't take longer than 20 minutes. I’m curious why it takes so long time in your environment.

No, not on virtual ESXi, but on homelab. 3x Quad Core 8GB with NFS storage via Iomage IX4. I'll see what happens when deployed to SSD storage. I can then vmotion to NFS when finished.

Too bad I can't deploy this directly into vCloud, because I could then use the vCloud at work 🙂

I'll move it to a second cluster I have with 32GB per host. Normally reserved for vCloud Director

YES !!!!!

Seems we finally hit it 🙂

Although I had to give it two runs before it finally worked.
