I keep getting a error message when trying to login from my Thin Client through the RDP Connection. It keeps telling me the local policy does not allow you to log on interactively. If I am local administrator I can login, if I am domain admin I can log in, when I am a user it gives me the message. Any ideas on where to go to fix this?
This can happen a couple of ways. The first is you are not assigned to the remote desktop users local group.
See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/289289
Also, make sure that you do not have a GPO that overrides this setting if you changes the setting listed in the KB.
You could also have a GPO that is disabling Remote Desktop
Under the System properties, you need to allow Remote Users to connect and you need to assign "Domain Users" group to be part of "Remote Users Group" and allow "Domain Users" to login.
Services like Terminal Services, TCP/IP NetBIOS, etc. should be enabled.
