Hi Gagan,

Please let me know the below question.

Do you have any antiviruses running on your parent image? if yes, please uninstall it and try to install agent 7.0.2

Regards,

Vkmr.

No AV is install but Microsoft Windows 10 Default AV

Defender

I can't install or uninstall without getting the same error with 7.02 no matter whatever i do I get the same errors

It doesn't allow me to clone and i get publish failed due to the install errors

What happens when you are installing agent by disabling windows defender?

apply windows patches and install agent [but the error message is not related to patches]

use default admin account to install agent [I known you are not missing this]

uninstall VMware tool and reinstall vmware tool and then install agent?

Regards,

Vkmr.

vmwareerror.PNG

No matter what I do

See AV is disabled all updated

Uninstalled All VMware Agent, Reboot, Ran C Cleaner. Uninstalls VMwareTools, Reboot, C Cleaner then Diskclean

Reinstalled VMware Tools no issue installs fine, reboot, reinstall Vmware Agent 7.02 new account local, run as adminisator install error see picture

I have rolled back the VM to the version that is working any time i run any windows updates it brakes the image and won't update the fix has to be to reinstall the agent but It errors out every time no matter what I do with the same error? Does anyone have a fix for this?

i face it twice and this is how i solve it

check if you have MS SCCM Agent installed in the VM, remove it

try to disjoin from domain and login by the local Administrator account  and try to install

We don't run MS SCCM on Vm's yet.. but I am on ad I can give that a shot

I have reconnected to Ad and when i Install i only use local administrators accounts. I'll report back at this time I'm looking for anything to fix this.

Please check for c++ redistributable, uninstall and reinstall them back  [ download them from Microsoft website]

also rather than using c cleaner, try to remove all vmware related entry's under HKCU and HKLM

and also c:\programdata remove all which is relates VMware folders

by doing the above steps you should be ready to reinstall, VMware tool and View 7.0.2

meantime open case with VMware

God point,

yes antivirus is one of the show stopper for installing any thing

Have you optimized your parent image using VMware optimization tool? so that we will be making sure on default antivirus

Regards,

Pere.

from the error it seem this is related to library , This error message occurs when the application encounters duplicate copies of the Microsoft C Runtime Library version 9, msvcr90.dll. The duplicate copy is typically exposed to the application when a folder with a copy of msvcr90.dll exists in the PATH environment variable.

my advice :

1- try to resolve this conflict in applications library , using path , also try to upgrade the .Net Framework to latest , it may help

2- remove all the startup program of service (except Microsoft services) , restart windows and try again

What Windows 10 build are you running, 1709 or 1703?  I know there were some issues with deploying build 1709 in a Horizon environment.  Also, when you execute the View agent install, are you right clicking on the install file and selecting run as administrator?
