Error: Empty or Invalid Host Name when entering non standard port number for PCOIP UAG

Hi

Short story - I get error "Empty or Invalid Host Name" when entering a non 4172 port number for the PCOIP address on a pair of 2106.1 UAGs.

Full - We've setup port translation on a pair of UAGs so that we can only use 1 external address.

Everything works fine, with the exception of PCOIP which gives a weird error that I've never seen before when I try to save the external address: Empty or Invalid Host Name

UAG version: 2106.1
External address: 1.1.1.1
External URL: MyUAG.com
Internal VIP: 10.1.1.0
UAG 1: 10.1.1.1
UAG 2: 10.1.1.2

The connections arrive at myuag.com (1.1.1.1) Then we have firewall port rules to forward on as below depending on the service:

SourceDestinationProtocolDevice
1.1.1.1:1144310.1.1.1.:443TunnelUAG 1
1.1.1.1:1014310.1.1.1.:8443BlastUAG 1
1.1.1.1:1017210.1.1.1.:4172PCOIPUAG 1
1.1.1.1:1244310.1.1.2:443TunnelUAG 2
1.1.1.1:1024310.1.1.2.:8443BlastUAG 2
1.1.1.1.1:1027210.1.1.2:4172PCOIPUAG 2

On the UAGs, HA is enabled and set to the VIP address (1.1.1.0)

The Blast protocol address is: https://MyUAG.com:10143 (UAG1) & https://MyUAG.com:10243 (UAG2)

The tunnel protocol address is: https://MyUAG.com:11443  (UAG1) & https://MyUAG.com:12443 (UAG2)

All of the above works fine. Connections come over blast or RDP and they get authenticated and assigned a desktop.

But when I enter the PCOIP address into the UAG: 1.1.1.1:10172 (UAG1) or 1.1.1.1:10272 (UAG2) it always gives me the error: Empty or Invalid Host Name

I didn't think it mattered what port the PCOIP was set to? But now, even if I try to change it to the traditional port 4172 I still get the same error! It seems that PCOIP has completely broken on the UAG.

Before the HA was enabled and the UAGs were stand alone with separate public IPs, PCOIP worked fine.

Any help or ideas would be most appreciated!

What IP address does MyUAG.com resolve  to?

If it resolve to 1.1.1.1 and it is NAT to VIP IP address then PCOIP will not work as UAG VIP cannot handle UDP traffic.

The problem is I can't even enter the IP address with a different port number.

When I enter the address I just get an error "Empty or Invalid Host Name" (Which doesn't make sense as PCOIP doesn't use host names!)

I've never seen this error message before and I can't find anybody else online that has either.

I downgraded one of the UAGs to 2106 today (Originally on 2106.1) and that accepts the external IP address and port number, so I'm now wondering if it's a bug on the latest version where you can't enter a PCOIP address with a non 4172 port?

Thanks for the update.

The only way to figure this is it is a bug or not is to deploy a standalone UAG 2106 and try again.

I will be deploying UAG 2106 in couple of days. In case if I hit the issue, I will update you.
