Can anyone give me any details on what exactly the enable comprassion option under the VDM_Client GPO option does?

I think it has something to do with the way the data is transmitted through the RDP protocol to the client computer. On, will reduce the bandwidth traffic

Sounds logical and along the line of what I was thinking as well. Just curious are you using this feature? if so did you do any before/after testing when deciding if you want to deploy this?

We're not using it and didn't really test with it. We tried with our VDM deployment to limit any GPO's. Other than the default domain policy and folder redirection our VM's are pretty open. We wanted to give the users the experience of their "own desktop". Also, considering we have a huge pipe between sites, bandwidth isn't a concern at the moment. .
