Domain Name change

We are in the process of changing domain names and was curious about the certificates the best way to accomplish that. Can the view environment be setup with two certificates?   we need to get all 400 users converted to the new domain and looking for some ideas.  Any help is appreciated.

Thank you, Perry

a domain change is big if its includes the connection servers, if its just the external dns you probably just swap that out, but its one certificate at a time(unless its just a different subdomain, and then you could do a wild card cert)

We are using a wildcard cert for this and it is just a DNS change.  We were hoping that we could setup both the old adn the new domains s that the transition was smoother.  Not sure the best way to setup the new domain connection on all the 400 computers.  Is it still one cert at a time even with UAG?

Each website can use only a single certificate in one time, however you have many options to accomplish this:

1. Create the new DNS zone

2. Add a CNAME record/Alias with new DNS suffix for the old FQDN (A record) VMware Horizon view connection server.

3. Generate a new certificate for this new name

4. Create another website with this new name.

5. Redirect the old website to the one temporary. (new domain zone/DNS suffix must be resolved by your client)

6. Do the domain renaming procedure via the rendom command

7. Remove the website redirection and use the new FQDN after completing step 6 successfully.

Note1: All DCs must be up and run without any problem while you are executing the rendom steps (list, prepare, upload and ...)

Note2: Restart twice all of domain controllers and member servers after changing domain name.
