Does anybody use Solidworks in VMware View

SolidWorks cannot run in guest winXP of view4, but it can run in guest winXP of VMware workstation.

As I know; Solidwork can only run on certified graphic card , does anybody know how can troubleshoot this issue ?

hi supingsue

A had a similar problem. I installed solidworks on my golden- (master) image. that worked well. when i connected to a client in a pool, i can't start the application. i had this problem only with the rdp protocol. did you try the pcoip protocol?

Your Master image, have you used the updated driver for the GFX card?

See your Device Manager on the Master Image.

Display driver should be: VMware SVGA II - Driver Date: 24-09-2009 - Driver Version: 11.6.0.32

The Default is 11.6.0.31

You should try to change this.

Alternativ, try to change the memory allocation to the Display on the VM Setting.

Edit Settings - Video Card - Select "Auto-detect".

ngruetter: Any reason you are not using PCoIP, because this is more likely to performe much better then RDP.?
