Does IPAD view software support 3D?

Tested the windows client and my 3D app started, on the iPad though it failed to start.  I could not find any notes about 3D support for the various clients.  Any ideas?

Thanks

If PCoIP is in use (which it has to be as the iPad only does PCoIP) the client will make no difference as to what software/applications are in use.  PCoIP is a pixel based protocol, meaning it doesn't even pay attention to the application layer, it simply talks to the SVGA driver built into View and sends those pixels remotely.  So to answer your question, yes the iPad will support whatever View can support becuase the Client just decompresses the PCoIP packets.  The beefer the client the more pixels it can decompress and thus better performance.

One thing that could be happening is your applicaiton might be trying to change the resolution of the display, this would cause a disconnect on an iPAd as it only supports 1024x768 (I think)

Thanks for the response, its quite possible that the 3D app is trying to change res.  I'll try some testing and also talk with the vendor to see what can be done.

Also, if you can post your pcoip_server logs I could take a look and see if I can tell what is happeneing.  Just make note of the exact time you launch the application.

Ok, I'm pretty confident that I've discovered root cause of the problem.  It is the aspect ratio on the host systems video, the application requires a 16:9 aspect ratio.  The VM video driver does not have a supported 16:9 that would fit under the iPads 1024X768 max res.  Believe the resolution of 1024 x 576 or 854 x 480 (WVGA & thanks Wikipedia for the chart) is needed on the host VMware SVGAII adapter or iPad client to make this work.  I only have this app to test, can someone test with another app that requires 16:9 aspect ratio?  Thanks

adding just a bit more info--

Vendor software does support 1024 x 768, and I've verified that on a windows View client.  The iPad client appears to be changing the resolution to 1024 by 748, which the software does not support.
