Just wondering what VMware are up to with their latest pathetic attempt at clawing back extra money from its "valued" customers. It seems if you have a standard or advanced licence for Horizon, then going to Horizon 8 is great as you get Instant Clone and DEM for free! Whooppeee! If you have an enterprise licence however, what happens is you lose vROps and vSAN entitlement.
Can I perhaps ask why VMware are trying to get rid of their enterprise licenceholders? With the news that vSAN is going, there is nothing keeping us on Horizon as vSAN was an integral part of any future Horizon upgrade so we are now going to look seriously at Microsoft WVD which offers similar performance at a much lower price point, without random removal of features in order to cynically claw back more money.
