Hi,
I'm planning to deploy VDI with Horizon. With Horizon Standard, for example, I got also a license for VMWare vSphere Hypervisor and vSphere vCenter. Can I use these licences to run also others VMs like my servers (which are not intended for the VDI)?
Thanks.
Its in the link
"vSphere Desktop can be used only to host a desktop
virtualization environment or desktop management and
monitoring tools."
The horizon license can run on enterprise plus that would allow you to run mixed workloads, if you use the vsphere for desktops license you can only use it for VDI related servers
Thanks for your reply sjesse
It's a brand new environnement. We can use vSphere Desktop only if we already own vSphere Enterprise right?
No please read that link. vsphere for desktop is basically the same as enterprise plus, the restriction is it requires you to use only VDI releated desktops.
Correction desktops and supporting infrastructure.,
I have read the links you provide. I had some news informations. But in other words, my question is to know if I can use Horizon license in purpose to run mixed workload (Server Virtualization + Horizon VDI)?
Thanks.
