Disable local browsing of drives on RDHS host within a VDI session

Looking for tips on how to disable access to local drives on a RDSH host when a user accesses an entitled application with a VDI session.  For example, streaming only putty to a user still allows that user to open a file explorer window within the local host and browse to any executable like iexplore.exe and launch it.

Thanks

Hello,

You can create a user group policy, with the setting that the local drives must be hidden. Attach that group policy to the OU of the RDSH server.

otherwise you can do the same with UEM or other user environment managers.

GPO Setting:

  1. User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, and File Explorer.
  2. Click Hide these specified drives in My Computer.

Regards,

Kevin
