We've been using Desktop pools for quite some time now, mostly for WAN linked offices or remote users to access a VERY chatty database application which won't be rewritten for some time. This works great because users run the desktop pool from the same LAN where Oracle RAC resides. I looked into Thinapp very briefly in the beggining, but have possibly missed out. I'm trying to see if there's a way I could be running a Thinapp of the application instead. My question for those that have had experience with Thinapp is, can you create a Thinapp that would run an application from the "server"? Where does it benefit to use Thinapp versus a desktop pool?
Thanks for any help!
