Hi,
I have strange issue on one user. This one user whenever he tried to log-in to his desktop he will get an error saying "The user is not entitled to a desktop"
I checked the desktop pool and this particular user is actually entitled. So far no other user have similar issue.
Any idea?
Thanks
Ciao
what type of pool you have created is Dedicated or floating?
Does the pool have Automatic or Multi-User Assignment active or neither?
Is the user entitle to the Pool and also to a VM? (Needs to be tagged, in addition to the pool, also to a VM if the automatic assignment is not selected)
Hi Ciao,
Pool is Dedicated. It is using automatic assignment. No Pool or VM tagging is used.
Thanks,
CIao
Have you checked that there are VMs available to assign to the user?
If there are no VMs available, have you checked if the horizon infrastructure can communicate with the vsphere infrastructure to provision new VMs?
Another question do you use instant clone?
There are VMs left to assign.
It's using Instant clone.
In terms of communication between horizon infrastructure and vsphere infrastructure? Yes no problem in terms of communication because I already have few users using the infrastructure without any issues.
Hi Fabio,
No, still the same.
Ciao
But is it possible that there is a problem in Active Directory related to that user?
Have you tried removing from the desktop pool the user entitlement and then giving it back?
Could be, but I checked the AD properties for that user and I can't see any problem.
I tried removing it from the pool and re-adding again. Problem persists.
Have information or error on the connection server log?
For example on the log files into C:\ProgramData\VMware\VDM\logs\ ?
