Dealing with Instant clones and host maintenance

For instant clone pools, Is it OK to leave cp-replicas and cp-templates on the host while in maintatnce mode/shut down?  (horizon 2206 - Hosts 7.02, vCenter 7.03)

I've read Perform Maintenance on Instant-Clone Hosts (vmware.com) which suggests you can safely put a host into maintenance mode and the cp-parents will be automatically deleted when the hosts are placed into maintenance mode (or you can disable parents in the admin console) but what about the replicas and templates?  I still have the linked clone mindset where we had to migrate the replicas for maintenance.

Any advice appreciated.

Replicas and templates shouldn't prevent the host from entering MM as they are already powered off and they will be migrated when you put the host into MM.

Thanks - Yes, we had some critical fw updates to apply to hosts so have powered down the hosts and remediated.  Procedure for instant clones is the same for the old persistent linked clones - Just ensure that powered down VMs are migrated when entering maintenance mode.
