DHCP IP POOL REQUIREMENT

Good morning ,

If i have 200 desktop VM's in the pool, how many IP's should i defined in the DHCP IP pool ? if  the DHCP pool don't have enough IP's, pool recompose operation will fail because the IP's can not be released by the original VM's so quickly, even if the DHCP release time is set to a few hours.

Does it mean i need define 400 IP's in the DHCP pool ?

Hello Dongjianhua .

It depends on the dhcp server release time.

if its relative short you can go indeed with a pool of 400IP.

You can also consider to split it up into multiple vlans which i find a better solution.
