Custom authentication with VMWare View

Hi,

I am looking for a way to provide a custom authentication when a user access VMWare View. According to the administration guide, I see the system can be configured with Smart Card logon, RSA SecurId or Login As Current User. Unfortunately I haven't seen an integration with a protocol such as RADIUS or an API to develop a custom authentication module.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Matthias

RADIUS authentication is not yet supported.

View 5.0 supports:

1. Username/password (with Active Directory and optionally with MIT Kerberos too).

2. RSA SecurID for 2FA.

3. Smart Card (X.509 certificates).

4. Login as current user (when the user has already authenticated to AD on their local client).

5. Third party extension authentication provides by other vendors.

I'll post some updates on View authentication soon.

Mark.

The 5th point (Third party extension authentication provides by other vendors) seems to be what I am looking for. I am very interested to learn more about it.

You said RADIUS is not yet supported. Does it mean it will be supported soon?

Thanks,

Matthias

Meaning it is not supported in View 5.0 or earlier. I'll put out some information about this when I can.
