Copy/Paste Files

Hi All!

I have been struggling to find an answer to this without having to open up a ticket. Is there any way to configure PCOIP and/or BLAST to allow the copying and pasting of files (.doc, .pdf, .txt, etc) between the local machine and the Virtual Machine?

You'd want to use client drive redirection (CDR).  CDR maps a folder or folders on the client device in to the session, alloying you to access files on the desktop. It is available with View 6.1.1 agents and later.

Hi,

I think that the question is more about "true" copy paste between VDI desktop and the local computer without using the folder sharing (CDR).

I'm facing the same problem, copy paste didn't work in any direction.

I found a lot of people having the same problem but the solution is always to import th pcoip.adm/admx file into the DC and just enable the "Clipboard redirection in both direction".

So i did the modification.. The GPO is well apply by the VDI, but nothing work (restart, log out & gpupdate /force done).

I also import the vdm_blast.adm and set the same values but nothing work. (i changed the protocol VCOIP to blast to test obviosly).

So is there and other parameters or changes to make it working?

Have you found any solution to this?

We are trying the HTML route to see if this solves their issue. We have to get external vendor to open up some ports before we can test it.

Hi Dbbs2012

PCoIP not support file copy/paste using clipboard.

Blast can transfer file through HTML Access, you can see "Configure file transfer" in Blast GPO

Thanks for the info. I'll have to give it a shot. I must have looked right passed that GPO Setting.

Well...we'll have to wait until we upgrade. We are on 7.0 now.
