I'm trying to wrap my head around VMware View 3, and hoping to get clarification to make sure I'm understanding something correctly.
Here it goes: My understanding is that all clients authenticate and establish connection to their desktops through the View Connection Server, but once the connection is established, the end user's device talks directly to the ESX server, and does not communicated through the View Connection Server. Is this correct? If not, where does the View Connection Server come into play, once the user connects to their desktop?
In our deploy, we will have a large number of users in a remote site (which has a fairly high speed WAN connection), I'm debating whether it would help reduce overall network traffic to have a view connection server in their local site which then connects back to headquarters.
Thanks!
