Connection Server Certificates

Hi,

Question on certificates. When I started my View environment, we had 1 connection server and I created a certificate for that host name. viewconn1.mycompany.com using my internal ca. Since then, we added a second connection server, viewconn2.mycompany.com. We never created a certificate for this host.

Also, I have implemented Microsoft NLB for these two hosts and that name is view.mycompany.com

I'm trying to make sure the environment is setup properly, so I'm thinking, all I need to do is create a new certification for my 2nd host with a cert name of  viewconn2.mycompany.com. Is that correct?

I know the View install guide says if you're using a load balancer, the certification name should be the name of the load balancer, but I do not believe that applies to Microsoft NLB

Any input is appreciated

Thanks,

Mike

You can use SAN (Subject Alternative Names) certificate that will cover both server name and shared name.

I did think of using a SAN or wildcard cert, although I don't like using wildcard certs.

Good suggestion. Thx
