Client random disconnect. View 5.0

Hi,

we have a view's 5 installation. We are testing with only one Thin Client (PRAIM). Randomly the client disconnect from the virtual machine.

In VDM\logs i see this lines:

12:49:50,370 INFO  <DesktopControlJMS> [Audit] DISCONNECTED:Server:cn=9d0346a6-e92f-4715-a3eb-11bc28995700,ou=servers,dc=vdi,dc=vmware,dc=int;Pool:cn=XXXXX,ou=server groups,dc=vdi,dc=vmware,dc=int;DNS:PC112.XXXXX.XXXXX.local;IP:192.168.1.112;USER:AMMINISTRAZIONE\xxxxx;USERDN:cn=s-1-5-21-3928138366-621301438-4092014192-1112,cn=foreignsecurityprincipals,dc=vdi,dc=vmware,dc=int;BROKERUSERSID:S-1-5-21-3928138366-621301438-4092014192-1112;

Obviusly no one has disconnected the session.

The session timeout is 9.999.999 minute and i have disabled SSL

Any idea?

Thanks

Check this link out and see if it helps at all: http://communities.vmware.com/message/1262763#1262763

It sounds like maybe it has something to do with firewall ports not being open.

Can you test on another thin client or a software client to see if you experience the same issue?    Are you connecting via the LAN or through a Security server?  Are you using PCOIP or RDP and are you doing tunneling?

mmmm bad news. On the vm's antivirus (F-Secure Client Security) i create a firewal rule that permit all IP traffic on my local network, but the client still disconnect. In windows server events i see the disconnect request...

The part of the log file that seems to me the most likely cause of the problem is this:

"12:50:21,019 WARN  <AJP-92> [j] (Request108) AJP connection test failed: com.vmware.vdi.ob.tunnelservice.dy: Failed to write data to server: java.net.SocketException: Software caused connection abort: socket write error"

Everything seems to point to a communication issue in some part of the environment, which I would at first think would be related to the correct ports not being open between some elements: security server to connection server or VM subnet, connection server to another connection server, etc. But then I came across this article on the excellent blog Virtualguru:

http://dharmgolf.blogspot.com/2011/02/vmware-view-45-ensure-proper-timing-on.html

So, check to be sure that all of the servers, hosts and VMs are getting their time from the same source, and that they're in sync. That may help resolve the AJP connection failures. Hope it works!
