Chromebooks can no longer connect get "Failed to connect to the Connection Server"

Since VMware rolled out the 5.3 Horizon View Client, the majority of my users can no longer connect. Just get a message saying "Failed to connect to the Connection Server".  the ONLY thing that changed was this client, which was forced onto us via Play store auto update.  I tried updating the Connection Servers to 7.11 but that didn't help.  Anyone encountered this and know how to fix?  Thanks
