Chrome OS Client 4, USB redirection?

I see this listed as one of the new features of Horizon 7 when used with the new ChromeOS 4.0 client

"Possibility to access Google drive and USB storage in remote apps and desktops with client drive redirection"

Does this mean that when a user with a Chromebook connects to a Windows desktop and plugs a flash drive into the Chromebook, this flash drive will be available in the Windows session?

Hi

The feature supported in Client version 4.0 is 'Client Drive Redirection'.

Just plugging a USB device to chromebook will not help in redirecting the device, you need to configure the Client to share the folder with remote desktop.

Please refer to page number 19 in below PDF document.

The document you linked to is for the older version of the Chrome client since the document is dated September 2015. Is there a newer version of this document that is up to date with the new Chrome OS client which was just released?

Do you have a link to that document? The link you put in your post, which I have reproduced below, opens the documentation for the Chrome client, but not version 4. The document linked to below is dated September 2015

The doco link I have is

http://www.vmware.com/content/dam/digitalmarketing/vmware/en/pdf/horizon-view/horizon-client-chrome-...

But I also cant get this to work . The options for setting up etc are fine , but there just isn't a shared or redirected folder accessible in the actual VDI , aka no ability to transfer to/from
