Chatty USB when idle?

So I'm running a POC for View. Here is my setup. I have a Corp office and a branch office (which is on a T1). At the branch office I have a host (ESXi 4.1) with a 2008 server and VDI sessions. At the Corp office I have my thin client and and two USB devices connected. I have two serial devices using a RS232 converter (which work correctly). The connection broker is also at the Corp office.

I'm noticing port 32111 taking up a lot of bandwidth, even when the session is idle. Should this be expected? Would it be better to place the connection broker at the branch in order to take that USB traffic off the WAN? The performance in the VM is great and responsivness of the USB devices are great. I'm a little concerned about scaling this out.
