Certificates For View

Since San certificate from a public CA does not support internal ip or host names and you need FQDN, how do we terminate ssl on security server? If I import a certificate of my public fqdn on security server and change the friendly name to vdm, this breaks my service.

If my security server hostname is viewsecurity, my connection is viewconnection.acme.com and my public fqdn is vdi.acme.com. How do I configure my certificates?

I think this is similar to a post I was involved in a few months back that is located here: connecter certificate expires

VMware View 5.0 Documentation Center- (Configuring SSL Certificates for View Connection Server and Security Server)

VMware View 5.2 Documentation Library- (Update the Certificates on a View Connection Server Instance, Security Server, or View Composer)

Please let me know if this was helpful. I assume you may just need to update the certs via these instructions, then restart the View Connection service.

The instructions for updating the certs is pretty good within these links.
