Hi,
I'm using a Ms Surface Book 2 with Windows 10 to connect to a remote Windows 10 desktop using VMWare Horizon.
I'm having trouble with using ctrl, shift and some other keys. Shortcuts such as Ctrl-c work, but many other usages don't, such as shift select, ctrl select, and print screen.
On another desktop using VMWare Horizon, everything works perfectly.
I've also tried using a separate keyboard, still doesn't work.
Any ideas why this might be the case?
Do you use the UWP Horizon Client from the Windows Store?
This is a known issue of this Client.
Hi galapogos
There could be multiple reason why this is happening but before that are you able to reproduce the issue outside of surface pro? I mean if you connect to same VDI using some other client device, do you see the same problem?
Also what version of horizon client are you using? Test with 5.2.4.
Other than that some security software, such as Norton 360 Total Security, includes a feature that detects keystroke logging software and blocks keystroke logging. This security feature is meant to protect the system against spyware that steals passwords and credit card numbers. This security software might block Horizon Client from sending keystrokes to the remote desktop or published application.
On the client system, turn off the keystroke logging detection feature of your antivirus or security software.

Yes it turns out to be a UWP problem. The regular Horizon client works.
