CentOS Pool Instant Clone Pool Logging Out 10-15 Seconds After Login

Hello All,

First post in the community. Be gentle. :slightly_smiling_face:

I have a VMware Horizon floating, instant clone desktop pool running CentOS 7.9 (Core). This pool has been running like a champ since June-ish of this year (2022). All of a sudden, it has begun logging off users after logging into a fresh VM/session. The Desktop shows up and everything appears to be fine and then about 10-15 seconds later, the VM jettisons the session and the clone begins to delete/rebuild as is normal for an IC pool.

I am uncertain where to begin to look to determine from where this is originating. The only real Event I see is "User has logged off machine 'MACHINENAME'". If anyone could point me in the right direction here, it would be much appreciated.

Answered my own question with the assistance of the AD domain management folks. This was due to the recent Windows updates that wipe the authentication types (RC4 and so on) applied or potentially in use on resource accounts used in an AD domain. Specifically, this was around DNS not doing name lookups/name resolution properly and causing the VM to fail to find itself after login and apply some local login scripts set on it. Regardless, the resource account between AD DNS and the actual DNS system used in our environment had to be updated to allow AD DNS to talk to it properly. Solved.
