hi guys

I have not used capacity planner yet but a buddy in my company went to a customer which would be a good businnes for us about 800 users for VDI env.

well my friend went to the customer site but he found out that the customer does not have Active Directory implementedin that infraestructure :smileyshocked:

BTW my customer is using WORKGROUPS

this is basically university and he uses WORKGROUPS

anyway is there a way to run a capacity planner there? or is there another tool to size this future VDI Enviroment?

thanks a lot

Hi,

Not a problem. Capacity planner can deal with workgroups. All you need is a common local account that has admin rights. You can create groups of workgroup machines if neccesary to assign different accounts if required between them. Indivudual exceptions can also be accomodated. Download it into a lab and have a play around before deploying so you're familiar with the setup, there are good wizards to help out.
