Can we host a single pool on multiple clusters?

We have a floating pool hosted on a single cluster at our main site. We have a another site with a seperate cluster that could potentially be used to host some of the virtual machines in this floating pool. We're therefore wondering if it's possible to host this single floating pool on multiple clusters?

When we edit the settings for the pool it only allows us to select the single cluster. Obviously the simple answer is to create another pool but before we do this we wanted to check if there's any other way.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Lane.

This is not possible today. A group of connection servers maintains its pool information within its datastore. Another group creates its own datastore and groups of servers do share info across them today.

You can have the VMs on separate ESX cluster though. Managed by one or more  vCenter instances.
