Can't delete a pool

Last week I tried to remove a test pool from service. Generally, this is straightforward. However, the pool is stuck at "deleting" on the Pool screen and when I click on Desktops I see the 4 machines listed, all with a status of Deleting. In the Events, I have an error about every minute stating, "Provisioning error occurred on Pool Desktop_ID because of a configuration problem." Per KB Article: 1027311.

The parent VM does exist and I've tried attaching to another snapshot. This got rid of the error every minute, but the individual desktops and pool will not delete. I've tried manually deleting the VM's from VCenter successfully, but the problem continues. We are using  VCenter 4.1 and View 4.6. All new desktop pools and other pools have deleted perfectly and the rest of the infrastructure is working fine (other VM's problem free on same hardware). Not sure how to manually remove this pool and desktops at this time and looking for some direction- thanks in advance!
