Bundle Licensing

I am planning to run a test of VMware View on a single ESX host and need some clarifcation on the licensing I require.

I was looking at purchasing a a Premier bundle to run 10 desktops and understand that this will license me for my ESX host, VC and Machines??

I also want to include deducated test servers on here for the connection manager and connection security manager on the same ESX host. Am I able to do this with the bnundle?

Thanks

If you buy View, normally you will have also licenses for ESX /VC (depending of the number of client in the bundle).

This licenses could be used only for View related service, so also for View Manager.

If you already have ESX and VC and do not need those additional licenses, you can buy a simple add-on license.

Can I get the addons from the VMware store? I only see the Bundles?

Try to ask to a partner or a reseller.

The Bundle does not include VC.

Bundle: (10 View desktops + VI3 license)

Starter Kit: (10 View desktops + VI3 license + VCenter Foundation)

If you don't already have an existing VCenter, you will need to purchase the Starter Kit.

Both kits also include View Composer and Thinapp.

You can install the VCenter, connection manager, security server and desktops all on the same host.

Good luck!
