I noticed that if I connect to my VDI VM via VMware View Client and I don't logoff but disconnect the session and try to connect back I get a blank screen. How can I avoid this ?
I can set an option "Automatically logoff after disconnect:" after X mins but I don't want to use this option. Is there a way to fix this blank screen without changing "Automatically logoff after disconnect"
VDI VM - Windows 7
Desktop VM - Windows 7
VDI - VMware Horizon View 5.2
Pool - using PCoIP
Thanks
This could be the lock screen from the GPO. See this KB (VMware KB: Reconnecting to an existing or disconnected VMware View Manager PCoIP session results in ...)
I looked into it but that is not the case. We don't have any GPO.
If you reconnect immediately (5-10 sec) after disconnecting do you still get a blank screen? If not then It could be a local policy screen saver setting in which case you would have to disable it. The windows 7 optimization tool does this for you. More info in the guide http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/VMware-View-OptimizationGuideWindows7-EN.pdf
