Black Screen Issue when PCOIP Used

I have observed black screen issue when PCOIP is used in low bandwidth environment but RDP works well in this low bandwidth network. Any Suggestions?

* PCoIP is very secure when compared to RDP.

* PCoIP works on UDP protocol. So, the network bandwidth considerations for horizon environment will be : Network Bandwidth Considerations

* Make sure the svga driver matches the agent version according to: Error attaching to SVGADevTap, error 4000: EscapeFailed reported by PCoIP server (1029706) | VMware ...

* For low network bandwidth you may have to perform a PCoIP optimization through GPO: PCoIP Bandwidth Settings

* For more information about PCoIP bandwidth session variables please refer: Configuring PCoIP session variables (1014686) | VMware KB

have you conifigured your environment for low bandwidth usage? or perhaps looked at using the blast protocol for those low bandwidth connections

Also, use the Teradici session statistics viewer to parse your logs and pinpoint exactly where the issue is. If  you have latency and packet loss above a certain level you will certainly encounter black screens and a host of other issues. Depending on what kind of environment you are in you might need to implement network QoS. We did this with low bandwidth branch office locations and it resolved these issues. Essentially you'll need to prioritize pcoip up there just below viop (if used). It is a realtime protocol and needs to be prioritized accordingly in low bandwidth environments. There is plenty of documentation on this on Teradici's website
