Hi,
we are using persistent desktop pools with linked clones generated with the view composer.
Now I would like to backup the user disk with VMware Data Recovery to be able to quickly single files if needed.
The backup runs fine until the end. When the snapshot is deleted I get an error.
In the VDR log:
Trouble reading files, error -3942 ( delete snapshot failed)
In the VC event log:
Unable to access file since it is locked
After that the vm show several different states:
- No active snapshot
- no active snapshot but the "revert to current snapshot" button is active until clicked
- active snapshot, deleting the snapshot is not possible until vm is powered off.
Other backups run fine.
Has anyone seen this behaviour?
Any idea what could be done?
