Backup horizon view

Hi

I have a View connection and a replica version 2006. what should I do to take a sure backup.

Should I backup somewhere out of view connection server?

Should I backup both of servers or backup of one of them is sufficient?

Should I backup vcenter or active directory with them and in the same time?

I am using Instant clone and RDSH only.

Thank you in advance

Ciao

As indicated in the VMware KB it is certainly necessary to have a backup of AD and DNS (which I imagine are already backed up) and also at least once every 3 months the backup of one of the connection servers (one x pod)
Then you need to save the Horizon AD LDS databases. (The procedure is present in the KB)
The vCenter is also critical and needs to be saved.
As for the instant clone, at least have a backup of the gold image. While for the publishing part of the APP (RDSH), as for the instant clone, a backup at least every time a change is made.
However these are the KB with all the information:

Backup and Restore procedure for Horizon 7 environment (74875) (vmware.com)

Recovery scenarios for Horizon 7 environment (70906) (vmware.com)

is indicated for version 7 but in the notes it is indicated that they are also for version 8

The order of restoration depends on what the disaster situation has occurred.
For example if you have corrupted a connection server you will have to:
- Remove existing Connection Server failed entry. (Remove from DB)
- Install new Connection Server.
- Remove old Connection Server
