Hello All,
I created automatic pool in VMware horizon( view administrator). It initiates vms creation automatically but takes around 15 mins to power on the vms and start the customization. And on the horizon side it shows provisioning state for very long time.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
There is alot to look at this, if you have support open a ticket, if not please share the connection server, vcenter, and esxi host and memory sizes to start.
Thanks for your quick reply.
Connection server : 4 cpu/10 gig
It's newly created cluster with 3 servers running 128gb ram
Is there anything specific path can we go for ?
How big is your vcenter and what are you using for storage. How big is the network, 1gb , 10GB or similar. First thing that comes to mind is something is being delaying because of insufficent resources somewhere.
We are using DAS ( Hyper-converged infrastructure) 4 TB and 10 gig network.
But at this point we don't even know from where to start the troubleshooting
What version of horizon, esxi, vcenter, and windows 10 are you using. Is the horizon agent in the vm the same version as the connection server?
ESXi : 6.7
Vcenter : 6.7
Horizon : 7.13
Yes, horizon agent in the vm the same version as the connection server.
What version of window 10 and what version is the vmfs is the datastore using vmfs 5 or 6. There was an issue in 1809 and vmfs 6 that had a slow startup but the latest updates to windows and esxi should have fixed that
Outside of this are you doing instant clones, full clones, or linked clones? Have you tried to watch the process by connecting to the vms, where is the slowest part that you can see. Do the vms themselves start immediatly but windows starts slowly or does the vms themselves take time to start,.
