Automated Desktop Pool can't select host or cluster

I'm trying to create a automated desktop pool with linked clone option. Everything is fine up to the point where it asks you to select host or cluster. I have one ESX 3.5 server and it doesn't show up. Only the Datacenter name. I can create regular pools fine.

hello.

Your problem is maybe that you didnt have installed the View Composer on the Virtual Center Server ?

In the Administration Guid ("How to install") is described that the View Composer must be installed on the Virtual Center Server .

The View Composer adds some Information to the VC, how it create and Store Linked Clones and Replicas

Composer needs to be installed, and also ESX and Virtual Centers servers needs to be at U3 level.

It seems that you haven't installed U3 on the Virtual Centers nor on the ESX boxes.

From the View 3 admin guide, page 15:

NOTE: VMware Infrastructure 3.5 U3 is required in order to use the View

Composer (linked clone) and Offline Desktop features.
