Application Licensing

Is there a best practice for installing applications with license keys on linked clones?  We are thinking about installing an app on a base image but we are only licensed for 5 users.  Only 2-5 users will be using it, but there are more then 5 users assigned to this linked clone pool.

I think its best to discuss that with your application vendor.  They may be ok with it if you  can show that you are limiting it do the 5 users that currently have access to the application.    This might also be a reason to look at ThinApp and that way you could simply deploy to the 5 users that need access.

I can ask them if they feel comfortable with ThinApp first.  I keep trying to push it but users are hesitant...
