Anyone successfully using Cisco IP Communicator with Horizon desktops?

We are running full clone W7 desktops for our call center and they are using RTAV and a Cisco IP Communicator soft phone. Unfortunately we are having random call quality issues. We expect to have call quality issues with remote home based agents who have periodic connectivity issues but we are also having the issue with agents who are working in the office. These in house agents have perfect connection logs with 0 packet loss and around 4-5ms latency.

Cisco's official stance is that IPC is not supported in VMware or Citrix. I am wondering if anyone has had any success with it despite of this.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thank You!

Hi,

Our office is using Windows 10 (v1607), full desktop. We have many users using Cisco IP Communicator 8.6.6.0 with no issues on call quality.  Before this, we were using Windows 7 and had a lot of call quality issues where we were not able to dial properly, and call quality was very poor.  Switching to Windows 10 fixed everything.  My personal set up is using the latest View Client and changing Blast to Poor network, and check low bandwidth option in the softphone options.

Thanks for the info! I was just about to test Windows 10 to see if it handled IPC any better. I have read that IPC may only work correctly in the 32 bit version of Windows 10. Are you using the 32 bit or 64 bit version of Windows 10? I'm going to try to get this tested today.
