Am I doing this right?

Ok I have been playing around with the different combinations of pools (persistent, non-persistent, etc) and I was wondering about updating machines in a non-persistent pool. The way I have been doing this is as follows:

1) This is an automated pool of non-persistent linked clones

2) I update the Parent VM and take a new snapshot.

3) Run through the pool setup wizard and point to the new snapshot

4) Delete the current VM's to get the pool to re-provision using the new replica snapshot. <-- this is the part I am not sure of.

5) Continue using the until next update.

Is this the right/preferred procedure or is there a way to update the pool without having to destroy the linked clones? The thing I would like to avoid is having the names change after every update.

Thanks

Yes it is. There is no Recompose function within the non-persistent pool.

Thanks,

Christoph
