Here are the steps:
Requirements:
iPad 2 running iOS 5
Black Apple TV with up to date software
Steps:
1. Be on the same WiFi as Apple TV
2. Turn on Home shareing on Apple TV and iPad 2 under the same account
3. Open VMware View for iPad
4. Open your desktop session
5. 4-finger swipe up
6. Scroll to the itunes controls and tap on the airplay icon and choose the Apple TV
7. Enjoy
After the first time 3-6 is only needed. You can turn on Airplay at any time to stream the home screen, etc....

I'm trying to swipe up with 4 fingers, but all it does is move the deskrop screen around. I don't get the airplay controls. What am I doing wrong?
Shift the lower row to the right...you will find what you need...
